"I no longer have back pain..."
Suzanna has pushed me to accomplishments I didn’t think I could reach! My squats are deeper and stronger, and I've graduated to push-ups on my toes. I recently dead-lifted 150 pounds, and I was surprised at how well I was doing them. I can feel changes in my body in the last year that make me feel great. My posture has even improved! Before weight lifting, I struggled to stand straight. Now, when I realize that I am hunching my back, I naturally straighten out, and it is so much easier than before. I can feel the muscles in my arms and legs growing. I no longer have lower back pain. I’m able to wear clothes that I couldn’t fit for the last few years. I also even enjoy shopping for new clothes!
It’s easy to set aside one hour/day and make good choices. It’s difficult to make good choices all day long, and that’s where I struggle with food. I’ve learned a lot, and it’s still a work in progress. And really that’s what I keep having to remind myself all the time. When I don’t feel happy with the results, or I feel like I haven’t seen enough changes, I have to remember to keep trying, because there is always a new day tomorrow. This is where I am happy to have the support from Suzanna and the ladies. We often discuss our struggles and solutions and keep each other motivated.
My advice to new members: Have fun! There are so many things to learn in this process, but if you’re not enjoying it, then you’re not going to want to come back. You can make this a positive experience, developing yourself with great company and smiles and hard work. After a few sessions with Suzanna, you’ll see that it’s not hard to have fun while you’re there! My favorite part of these workouts are the people. These ladies are always welcoming, friendly, and come from all walks of life. We also come from different fitness backgrounds. Suzanna manages to cater to each ladies’ abilities, and she challenges everyone to the appropriate level and modifications. I’m totally addicted to the rush from weightlifting, and I couldn’t do it without my Trainer's guidance and support.
